Too late. He has already noticed. I can imagine him sitting somewhere, forced into a garish xmas jumper, tutting into his brandy at the sight of your gift.
Ironing is overrated. I tend to think that it's for young people and those with nothing better to do. I own some non-iron shirts and the rest.....**** it, ironed clothes make the creases on my face look worse. No ironing.
Couldn't disagree more. I'd sooner leave house nude than in a badly creased shirt. "Non-iron" shirts tend to come out of the wash looking like a crumpled paper bag. The whole thing's a scam. Especially from Next. Theirs are the shirting equivalent of a Mark Hughes transfer window. Promise so much yet produce so little. I fact, if you have a second, wearing a creased shirt is the sartorial equivalent of Moussa Sissoko. Waste of time and money. And everyone who sees you just wonders why you bought it in the first place.
You'll not care a jot about ironing in 20 years, I can promise you that. The older I am, the less of a **** I give about the rest of the world.....**** 'em. They want my shirt ironed....let them do it. Increasingly, I'm wearing linen.......the stuff is always creased. Anyone got any drip-dry nylon? I ain't interested unless it's cheap, dirty and un-ironed. That said, I work for myself these days and sell stuff to people who give not a **** when I turn up in bike leathers or a top hat
