Not Saints related, but definitely football related.

This is from Valencia's game tonight against Santander. How often do we see clashes like this in the English game?

He does get caught on the side, but still looks pretty standard as an English football clash of heads...well apparently he's just lost consciousness and is in a critical condition in hospital. Is it just coincidence that these bad injuries/deaths don't seem to happen here in the English game? Obviously Spain have had quite a traumatic decade in terms of deaths in football, with the like of Antonio Puerta and Dani Jarque.
 
Great player, I hope he recovers. You have to sympathise with Pape Diop right now as well as he'll be feeling pretty guilty.
 
That was a pretty badly mistimed header, though, by Diop. Not on purpose, but he went in like a freight train. If he mistimed it that badly on the deck, he'd be sent off.
