It's cooked with little gem lettuce and spring onions and you use a beurre manie to thicken the sauce.

Beurre manie is softened butter with flour in, essentially.

Very nice indeed: Roast duck with the blackcurrant sauce, the special French peas and mash.

Et voila!

Actually sounds pretty good :p

I'm surprised no one has said cock yet...****ing shocked infact.

There's a few I could wager who would have that as their fave meat.

Piskie and HIAG pine for each others cocks, that much is apparent :)
I think we should do a GofundMe page for the two of them to meet up and 69 each other, get it outta their system :D

Why would that need a GofundMe page? <confused>

Guys get yourself down to Simpsons in the Strand as they do the best roast meats.

The Carving Trolley has 28 day aged rib of beef that is out of this world - they serve all the meat on one plate and the Yorkshire and vegetables on another !

They also serve for starters West Mersey oysters which are the best imo.

Been a few times over the years, and have tried all their roasts, their duck, their Wellington, and their steaks, but the rib of beef is their best.

Look it up online and next time in London have yourself a roast fit for kings.

It ain’t cheap but it is worth it, or get your Mrs to buy a voucher for your birthday or Xmas.

What’s the serving trolley? Do you get a joint to yourself or does some **** come with a trolley and serve you a few meagre slices?

£42 for a beef wellington is steep is it a single portion or to share?

The serving trolley is one huge joint that they carve directly at your table, you won’t finish all the meat as it’s loads.

The wellington is also a large amount of meat, and you could easily share.

As I said it ain’t cheap, but compared to other London restaurant prices it’s in range.

Also if you like meat/steaks try Temper in SoHo as it also is very good.
