Yes sure, lets knock when he's found wanting and not agree when he has played his heart out for us and done well. I reckon the guy knows his limitations, but never hides.
Some of us (and several managers) have cringed at the critics comments for quite some time. I just hope they've learned.
mention for adebola too, showed us that in terms of a target to hold the ball up he's got a lot to offer. kept it simple, didn't try and impress, just shielded and fed back. very solid addition and he'll be a real handful at corners and set pieces. the only problems from today are good ones. mckenna, cairney, evans and when stewart is back koren, that's some centre midfield to choose from on the evidence so far. that noise you can hear is championship full backs shi**ing their shorts at the thought of brady and stewart on the wings!!!!!! COYH
yes what was up with Mcshane today, he played very well actually, wonder if Pearson found a suitable head to shove on the shoulders and end the headless chicken act... although the horrifying sight of him sat on the bench after bein substitued with no top on greatly upset me
glad to see this thread, impossible to fault McShane today he was immense, which is good for City, Paul has shown Mr JB the attitude we expect from a tiger.
Yes, this was the Paul McShane we remember from the 'adrenalin' fueled early EPL days. I watched the highlights through an Asian stream kindly supplied by a member of our Wellington Phoenix Hull City supporters forum in New Zealand. Very encouraging performance with some notable performances especially Paul's. Simpson could hardly miss but fair do's to the bloke, he got himself into empty space and scored and that's what he's there for. Good goals from Brady and Koren too.
Mcshane was awesome. Alot of his bad points where because of others sold him short in passes ect. You guys might laugh but is he worth a shot as DM?
He had a good game, but it doesnt make up for all the howler's he has had. I still wouldnt mind seeing him get a run out in the league at some point - he'll only cock up once more!
I reckon McShane looked a lot fitter today than he was last season. Many more displays like that and he will be seriously pushing for a place in the side at centre back.
I've made no secret of fact that I don't rate McShane, but there's no knocking yesterday's performance, he was excellent. I'd still give Chester MotM, he was faultless.
