I would agree I'd have to say 1/2 is very predictable on average. Go to the bookies and they know Chelsea and city are where it's at.

3 to 5....... Yeah pick it out of a hat

If spurs seriously think they can top utd and arsenal even leaving us out they are nuts

Every pundit, every one.... Spurs are 6th/7th.

I've no issue with arsenal fans being consistent... Right up to march.

I'd say City & Chelsea will be 1 and 2, with not much in them. If I had to pick a winner now, it'd be Chelsea.

3rd, Arsenal. Unless they have their Feb collapse or lose a couple of players, they've strengthened well (although like us needed a DM and a CB, neither of which they've got)

4th will be a battle between us and United I think with Spurs and Everton fighting over 6th and 7th,

And bookmark this.... I didn't state anything but cold hard fact. 5th is nowhere. I never said who would get what read my blog my dear fellow for my prediction made preseason.

I'm still hopeful on lfc making one more top signing still that will make all the difference

Can't argue with Tobes' assessment (too much). Chelsea/City for the title (I said that last season too), but I see Arsenal, Man U and ourselves fighting for third and fourth. that said, my predictions for last season was City, Chelsea, Spurs, United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton. I knew United wouldn't win it, but I didn't see a collapse like that; I never saw Spurs imploding; and I never thought, even at Christmas, that Liverpool would be within two points of it.

I still think it will be open though - there won't be a team ten points ahead by New Year or winning it by Easter though. I truly think those days are behind us for now. But we'll see.

Probably not.... But if there is just one consistent side and the rest are inconsistent or distracted by cups there can be a big point tally

Till the verdict tomorrow.... which I suspect will now be somewhat kinder to Luis as:-

    1) He doesn't play for Liverpool any more.

    2) It's not the FA

    3) He plays for Barcelona

    4) He plays abroad and the Mail isn't as obsessed.

This is ridiculous. I suppose this is the final stage, but he's been put on par with match-fixing and doping offences for.... biting. Comedy bites too: he didn't even break the skin of any of his victims. More akin to Chinese burns than deliberate, injury-causing tackles.

He deserved punishment, but this is insane. What should be the tariff, at this benchmark, for the player that nearly crippled Neymar?

You are looking at it all wrong, and always have done.
You cant judge this **** on severity. A tackle is a tackle, part and parcel of football, the intent isnt to break a players leg, its to win the ball. ok you can mistime it, or have your foot slightly too high and injure someone, but its an accident ffs!!

When biting, the intent is to bite.....pure and simple. No place in football. And not only that but he is a repeat offenders, I mean, 3 times ffs!! How stupid is he ? really?

  15. Headbutting, punching and deliberate elbows are not part of the game though! Nor is a two footed lunge really, its not been a legal challenge for almost twenty years!!!

Severity has nothing to do with justice? Really? If you repeatedly shoplift (cue tedious Scouse jokes) you deserve a bigger sentence than an armed robber who deliberately misfigures someone?

You never heard of the punishment fitting the crime?

Whereas I agree... it has no place in football, and it should be punished severely- how many times has Joey Barton committed an act of violence... per game... <laugh>

Even Suarez's first bite in Holland got more of a punishment than your average deliberate kick at another player- or punch- or headbutt.

yeah stupid, yeah scummy but the two lads bitten bascially were men and didn't give a toss... but if you get a broken cheekbone from a deliberate elbow or a broken vertibrea from a deliberate knee in the back its the same thing so you CANNOT equate honest tackles to deliberate bites you MUST equate deliberate assualts to deliberate bite.

IF you do that, well a bite aint as bad.... sure ban the f'r for doing it but how long did zidane get for throwing the head in? the guy who took neymar out (deliberatley) got a yellow.

How many elbows went unpunished including giroud's scummy TWO.....

no suarez deserves a good international ban but extending it to club is making **** up period.

As I said in the summer... I don't think Suarez's ban was too harsh.

I think a lot of other players who do dirty things get off too lenient.
