As has been said. Love accounted for about 1m of that. We haven't made money because he just hasn't played that many games. It feels like a mediocre deal but we're getting rid of our bloated squad for a realistically paid group of players who'll do well at our level. On its own it doesn't look great. As part of the collective movement I think we have a **** load to be excited about.
4 hours for boro to meet our asking price. ****ed up there, proof is in how quick Boro were to take our eyes out. Bet they were laughing their tits off when we showed our hands as wanting a pittance.
Couldn’t give a toss if we got nowt Bri glad to get rid of the mercenary bastards who got us here in the first place
Thought he was worth more but gets a wage off the payroll and free’s up some budget. Good riddance- thought he owed us a season after injuries but there’s no loyalty or honour left in the game. We move onward and hopefully upward.
We have got to get value for money at any level though, and we have not in this case, Boro have got themselves a bargain imo., thats the rub. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth tbh. and no way can I wish the lad well, and thats sad.
Agree entirely with all of that but got to trust SD and CM - they must have their reasons for what we consider an under value deal. Hopefully they know what they’re doing - fingers crossed
I agree. he obviously wanted to go, this does not help the situation one bit, and SD and CM are doing great so far, with the fans behind them lets hope Paddy soon realises that the grass is not greener on Teeside.
Had a thought about the transfer...maybe it was a lower price (I know the fee was undisclosed) due to we received cash. That way it may have stopped us looking for a short term loan. Just the cash flow thing....I have a business here in LA and have done it a few times myself....the guys on the board seem pretty savvy now so this may have been the option.
