I'm sorry but despite that being the popular opinion it simply isn't true. Look at his goal against Ipswich, Fryatt would never have scored like that, his composure when one-on-one was ideal, something Fryatt always falls down on. McLean's goal at Forest was the best finish I've seen from any City player in ages. They're both good strikers and I'm not trying to start another Fryatt/McLean argument, but if McLean leaves he'll need to be replaced.
This season I think that I prefer Mclean to Fryatt. The amount of one-on-ones that Matty has missed this year is unreal and he lacks that yard of pace. But saying that he does have very good movement. I reckon if we could make a small profit on Matty if we wanted to sell him. I thought that Mclean played fantastically well against Ipswich in the Matty's position, he continuosly beat their defence and took his goal extremely well. In my opinion Mclean gives more to the team than Fryatt
Josh King would play in McLean's position and the funds would be used to bring in another winger or midfielder?
I have a feeling that King would play in Matty's positon, with another winger coming in. Hoped it would be Hammill but it looks like that ship has sailed
Maybe, I think Nick is trying to sign versatile players with good movement so that he change formation as and when he needs to
I think Fryatt is one of the first names on the team sheet, I don't think he'll be dropped for King, also King is a striker and a winger, so seems ideal to play wide in a front three.
He definitely is. However I'm not sure if we'll have any players in by the weekend which is a little concerning as prices tend to rise as the window advances
In terms of Josh King, he will be in on loan and I doubt we will be paying a large fee for him - if at all
According to AP's programme notes, he was expected to have signed in time for the Ipswich game so the dealy is a little concerning. However I'm probably reading too much into it!
No wonder Sharp wont sign for Lesta then. He has no chance of getting the 40k or add-ons has he ? Which players at Hull City would not like Sharp here IF it helped City get back to the PL. Then they would all get an increase in wages, bonuses etc etc.
I agree that it is a little strange that a deal for a young player on loan is taking so long. I think it is maybe City that are stalling the deal - particularly if they have a higher profile name that may be on their radar and available
