Well they are getting desperate. Afterall CMS has gone off the boil and they struggled against Wrexham. Dont see this happening unless Brighton offer say 3m(which they wont) and we then go in for Sharp(which is unlikely) ? just saying like.

Sky Sports understands Brighton are eyeing a move for Hull City striker Aaron Mclean in this month's transfer window.

Seagulls boss Gus Poyet is looking to pep up his attacking options after struggling for goals this term and he has targeted a move for Mclean.
Poyet wants to reunite Mclean with Craig Mackail-Smith with the pair enjoying a prolific partnership together during their time at Peterborough.

He can go, I know he has his admirers because he runs all day long, but he's not quality. His goalscoring record here is what i would expect of a central midfielder not a striker. Let him leave.

Although, I know he is a big hit with a lot of players at the club. He's the club's joker.

There have been a few rumours on here about a striker leaving City to be replaced by an established incoming player - maybe Aaron's the one set to leave. I think he's done pretty well for us this season and he looked particularly good on Saturday so I'd be sorry to see him leave but, if he does, I'd be very interested to see what the replacement option is.

Dont see this happening as the replacements are not obvious ones. It could also lead to dressing room unrest. As the saying goes, if it aint broke dont fix it.

Nick knows what he is doing so all these rumours are just par for the course. Liverpool fans now have the rumour of Suarez being wanted by Real Madrid. Its January, the month of crazyness all around.

I like McLean but I wouldnt be gutted to see him leave either. We overpaid by 500k for him and although he has definite qualities, he's not irreplaceable by any means. If he's happy to go then he will certainly get my blessing and thanks.

I'm hearing Nigel Pearson are after Leicester. Leicester fans saying NP's not a fan of Nugent, he scores too many apparently, he's after someone who can't score for **** to help keep his philosophy of lucky 1-0 wins going.

Also on the point of McLean, did anyone watch the posh vs the ****ers the other day? Their head of football ops was a guest on the show and said they sold Aaron for 1.6 million, I thought it was 1.3? If so, we overpaid by around 8-900k for him IMHO.

Well it was Barry Fry and he does waffle on a bit. Aaron is getting better under Nick and he will continue to improve.
Unless its stupid money and by that i mean over 2.5m then tell Gus to look elsewhere. AP is good at that at the moment. lol.

Not really, I know Mclean is available if the right offer comes in, but I'm certainly not aware of any approach having been made yet.
