What's to dream about Simon? If we sell Ross, we will be prime candidates for mid table obscurity at best. BMD was trying to build a team for promotion. Not all his purchases worked. But replacing Ross will be a nightmare, regardless of who's pulling the strings
Id say this week will tell a lot. Clearly the meeting Monday between Ross and Cellino will go a long way towards determining whether he will be sold or a team built around him. Hope its the latter

I'm suggesting we have a snowball's chance in hell of keeping Ross. I'd happily take mid table obscurity for next season if it was offered to me right now.

I wouldn't take mid table obscurity. Ross is under contract. So I would expect Cellino to do whatever it takes to keep him, save the arrival of a silly money bid.

Well I don't see us doing any better. We appear to be relying on the youth team to improve the squad next season, and Cellino will jump at the first realistic bid to come in for Ross.

5 million gets you 3 million pound players and pays their wages for a year at £10-12 grand a week. If as often assumed, Ross won't have another season like this one, and taking into account that he's also 28 - is that good business?

Providing one of those players bags 20 goals plus then it's good business. Otherwise were gonna struggle big time

So only one team finishes mid-table every year? Careful you don't pull a muscle with all this stretching.
Hmm, by you reckoning so anything between what, say 9th and 15th is basically mid table and all the same. Don't think so. If we finished 9th in coming season, it'll be a hell of an improvement
