Am I the only one who's sh!tting himself in case the Lennon/McDermott resignations happening in the same week is not a coincidence?

Still think this was the wrong decision, whether it was inevitable or not.

Jees hope not! Lots of good and young managers out there though.

I really hope he Cellino doesn't go all Watford on us and bring in some unknown crap but have a feeling he might.

Glad he has gone although odds on the next guy in charge will be virtually unheard of or Carbone.

Cellino said Carbone is not yet ready, will be interesting to see if those words are forgotten.

What does benny know about English football? .... well he was a very good player but went home and stayed home for the last few years. What does benny know about English managers? I would say fook all, so lets hope Cellino is not going to listen to benny. Lets hope cellino doesn't give benny the job.

So it could mean Cellino brings in an Italian and then its fingers crossed time

Whatever happens next, Cellino has done the right thing imo in getting McD out at this point in time. Not going through his cv gain but timing gives new man to have input in pre season and a proper chance at getting whatever players are left into a new and proper frame of mind for the coming season. Morning all. Not greatly surprised BMD has left by mutual consent as Cellino wants to introduce a different structure. Really worried now as to who will come in as a trainer rather than a Manager. Not a great day for Leeds, but maybe itll work eventually.

Not sure why its not a great day Boggers. Surely with a couple of months to go till start of new season, this is perfect time to appoint a new man. If he's British, hell be given months to prove himself. If he's Italian I suspect, he won't even be given days by some fans

The reason why its not a great day is that with all the off field problems having been resolved, it would have been nice to see BMD being given a chance to show what she can do. Of more concern is that I for one don't know who'll be deciding what players will be being brought to the club. If you say Cellino with the new "Manager" being purely a coach, how much experience does Cellino have & what experienced Manager is going to want to train a team for which he can't choose the players he wants to bring in?

Fair points but lets give Cellino the same chance McD was granted. I was one of the ones constantly calling for a mass clear out both manager and players. Looks like Im getting my wish. Heres hoping Im wright and in twelve months the club is in a far healthier on and off the pitch. I think it will be as it has definitely been on life support for quite a while

The thing that puzzles me is "Why now?". What has made up Maximo Ego's mind now, all of a sudden? Has he now got a replacement? Has something come to light that has changed he view on BM?

Due to all this backslapping going on, my money's on BM & Maximo agreeing a severance package. At last. Might explain Maximo being upset at BM going off on holibags - he wanted negotiations completed asap & BM knew he was in a position of strength. Either that or BM's now on a promise & had to get his affairs tidied up before he took over the reins. I await this weeks appointment announcements with bated breath.

Don't worry m8 Hull will get out of Hudderfields shadow 1 day. Then you just have Bradford,York,Barnsley,Doncaster,Rotherham, the 2 sheffs etc etc.I didn't say Leeds because even 1 as deluded as you should know even in Hull you will always be a little team with luke warm support. You will go down in history though as the worst ever support for a team in an F A CUP SEMI FINAL.How does it feel when you best ever result was LEEDS winning at Watford. another little town full of Leeds fans is all you will ever be.<laugh>

We are screwed!! Cellino wants a Coach only, he will pick the team, tactics and buy/sell players, some Italian with no credentials will be trying to make sure the players can trap a ball ... the serial haters of anything and everything when we're not top of the league, beware what you wish for ... there won't be a decent manager stepping up for this job, can't see any quality manager worth his salt wanting to work for a megalomaniac ... now the next issue, good players trying to get to the Prem won't want to sign for a club where the President decides tactics and picks the team ... you want to see crazy? Go and watch the QPR documentary when Warnock got them up, only difference is at least they left Warnock to run the team while they bitched and moaned in the background ... Cellino is far more outrageous than the Italians at QPR were, and he is in full control of playing matters and somehow believes he is actually a Football Manager ... no,no, no, if Cellino pushes on with his stated intent of having a mute yes-man coaching the players while he decides selection and transfers, it will spell big trouble for us ... in Italy with little Cagliari he may have gotten away with his lunatic antics, but in Yorkshire at one of the biggest clubs in the country it's going to be a totally different ballgame, and I expect we will soon see protests against this egotistical, uncouth man ... he has made it abundantly clear that the club has no money, he wants to get away from the Academy to a university sports complex, and buying back ER is a moving target that slips farther and farther away ... I am losing confidence in Cellino and his clown-like behaviour very quickly, and find it harder and harder to trust him ... McD had to go, of that there is no question, but Cellino's policy around football matters makes me shudder ... so, to all those who blindly hated McD and regularly slung dirt his way, when we're struggling against relegation without a manager to pull the players together, please come back and say all this rubbish Cellino is pulling was the right way to go

Fair points well made Eire. In part I'm with Billy. We now have the money never afforded to BMD or other Managers in our recent past. Let's hope:

    A. We hold on to Ross
    B. We hold on to Ross; &
    C. We hold on to Ross and we bring in a few to support him as well as a coach who can have us playing footy on the floor

What's to dream about Simon? If we sell Ross, we will be prime candidates for mid table obscurity at best. BMD was trying to build a team for promotion. Not all his purchases worked. But replacing Ross will be a nightmare, regardless of who's pulling the strings
