Great news,nice bloke shot manager.

Here is the joint statement
Brian McDermott and Leeds United have announced their mutual decision for the Leeds United manager to depart from his position.
Leeds owner Massimo Cellino stated: "Brian is a great manager and a great guy. He has been unfortunate to work in such difficult circumstances. I did not fully understand the mess he had to work in, and the broken promises he had to deal with, until I have got involved trying to turn Leeds around.
"He has been a gentleman to deal with in our discussions and has been very understanding of my wish to implement a new structure. His main concern and priority at all times has been the welfare and protection of Leeds United. I wish him well for the future where I am sure he will continue to have more success and thank him for his efforts in being a stabilising and unifying figure behind the scenes in very difficult circumstances.
"His honest efforts to guide us to the safety of mid-table when faced with many difficulties is appreciated by us all. He will always be a friend of Leeds United."
Brian McDermott stated: "It has been my great privilege to manage this great club and I have enjoyed the challenge immensely.
"However it is clear that Massimo wishes to implement a new structure and feels he will work more successfully for Leeds with a coach rather than a manager. I respect that Massimo must be fully supported in putting together his vision for the club so he can bring us the success we all want. It is my belief that when truly United we are stronger. Massimo wants to bring a new energy to the club so that we can return to where we belong as a healthy football club.
"To my players for their efforts I say a big thank-you. To all the staff and especially my great assistant manager Nigel Gibbs and my great friend Patrick Dolan I am especially grateful for their support.
"Finally to the incredible force that is the Leeds United supporters, I offer my heartfelt thanks. Your support of me and the players was always an inspiration and I urge everyone to get behind the team and the new owner next season to get us back to where we need to be, fighting for trophies and competing at the top-table of English and European football.
"It won't be easy, but Marching On Together we can get there.
"I wish Massimo and all my friends at Elland Road every success in the future."

What does benny know about English football? .... well he was a very good player but went home and stayed home for the last few years. What does benny know about English managers? I would say fook all, so lets hope Cellino is not going to listen to benny. Lets hope cellino doesn't give benny the job.
So it could mean Cellino brings in an Italian and then its fingers crossed time
Not sure why its not a great day Boggers. Surely with a couple of months to go till start of new season, this is perfect time to appoint a new man. If he's British, hell be given months to prove himself. If he's Italian I suspect, he won't even be given days by some fansMorning all. Not greatly surprised BMD has left by mutual consent as Cellino wants to introduce a different structure. Really worried now as to who will come in as a trainer rather than a Manager. Not a great day for Leeds, but maybe itll work eventually.
Fair points but lets give Cellino the same chance McD was granted. I was one of the ones constantly calling for a mass clear out both manager and players. Looks like Im getting my wish. Heres hoping Im wright and in twelve months the club is in a far healthier on and off the pitch. I think it will be as it has definitely been on life support for quite a whileThe reason why its not a great day is that with all the off field problems having been resolved, it would have been nice to see BMD being given a chance to show what she can do. Of more concern is that I for one don't know who'll be deciding what players will be being brought to the club. If you say Cellino with the new "Manager" being purely a coach, how much experience does Cellino have & what experienced Manager is going to want to train a team for which he can't choose the players he wants to bring in?
Don't worry m8 Hull will get out of Hudderfields shadow 1 day. Then you just have Bradford,York,Barnsley,Doncaster,Rotherham, the 2 sheffs etc etc.I didn't say Leeds because even 1 as deluded as you should know even in Hull you will always be a little team with luke warm support. You will go down in history though as the worst ever support for a team in an F A CUP SEMI FINAL.How does it feel when you best ever result was LEEDS winning at Watford.oh aye inverness born and bred
supporting that pile of ****e..
i should commend you.. iverness are better than your f**king **** team
leeds full of f**king irish/scottish ****s
10 years and counting
forever living in huddersfields shadow

Fair points well made Eire. In part I'm with Billy. We now have the money never afforded to BMD or other Managers in our recent past. Let's hope:
A. We hold on to Ross
B. We hold on to Ross; &
C. We hold on to Ross and we bring in a few to support him as well as a coach who can have us playing footy on the floor
