Of course we are always going to be biased towards our own teams its just the way it is. In my mind Barton and Enrique would be the only two I would have possibly Colo and thats me being really honest as I see it. So for me two of the 3 I might have probably won't even be there next season so then I would rather have my full team. Ben Arfa I believe will be a fantastic player but I would like to see how he copes in the premier over a few month period. I am not sold on Cabeye only because he looks a little lightweight for a premier midfielder and my mag mate who has seen him play in the friendlies agrees with me (however if he can overcome the agression and pace of the premier he also could be a fantastic player). So for now happy with my lot and looking forward to a cracking season ahead.

You'd take Cattermole over Tiote? <doh>

Of course I would!!!! Im biased!!! lmao

Being honest I forgot about him....yes I would take Tiote over Catts I would actually take Tiote over most central mindfielders in the premier I rate him that highly Chaps.

Phew. I was gonna say!

who is that in your avatar Chapz? fooking funny pic. He reminds me of that commedian guy who Eddie Murphy takes the piss out of in the Nutty professor lmao.

looks like haile gebrselassie.

Just on the mackem board to say you have got a good player in James McClean. I go to see Derry City fairly regularly. I think I attended every home game last year. Bags of potential in this kid. Pacey, decent in the air, good shot and a cracking cross. The top scorer in the league plays for Derry. It is no coincidence at all. His life is made very easy by James.

Almost to a man the Derry support wish him all the best and I hope he can fulfill his potential with you. He is a fit lad and could maybe bulk up a bit. I am sure you'll get him right in a couple of months. He has been sensational lately and he's a bargain at that price.

Thanks for that mate. The manager sounds gutted by all accounts he is heading to us and what he had to say about the lad speaks volumes for McClean. I am looking forward to seeing what he is all about he sounds decent although the step up will be massive I am hopeful he might just cut the mustard....cheers pal

Thank's for the info mate, much appreciated.

Why can we not win on a saturday ?, and we need Belamy and Wright-phillips now and to start at Liverpool next week.

No worries fellas.

Derry are still in with a good shout for the league, as unlikely as that is from where the club has come from. I think this is probably the end of that dream but the club needs the money.

There are a few other younger lads here that must have caught the scouts eyes. I'd not be surprised if you came back for a look at a few more of them.

mc clean is an excelent player. watch him every week at the brandywell. can get good crooses in or beat men at ease. def good enuf for english prem. deserves his chance

Did he play last night DR?
Last year he used to get a little huffy if he didn't get the ball but he'll go all day now. great attitude.

I hope he gets his chance....imagine what a feeling for the lad if he starts at Anfield next Saturday.....:-)

He played against man city last weekend and he plays at estadio brandywell every other week, anfield shant phase him<ok>

seriously, he did ok against man city. he should be sharp at any rate, it is mid season here.

Rebel & Derry - thanks for the info lads. I hope he is that good. We have had a few Irish lads in recent years to varying degrees of success. Daryl Murphy and Anthony Stokes couldnt cut it at the higher level but IMO David Meyler, if he can get back fit again from a bad injury, is more than capable of playing EPL football.

PS - Derry. Been to your City a few times over the years and loved it mate. There is still that tension there you sense and the divide of the walled city is strange but the people were friendly and welcoming to this NE Englishman every time and its a lovely city to walk around and be in.

A Mackem mate of mine came to visit and we were going into a bar when the roughest looking doorman said;
"we love Mackems in this town"
"how did you know I was a Mackem?"
"......honestly, i thought you were a geordie but I love pissing those ****s off".

get yourself to the brandywell next time you are over. good atmosphere...its not as nice as the stadium of light, but it is an experience.

Agree, this lad has bags of potential and is a strong lad as well so when fully up to speed he could prove to be a good buy. I hope this lad gets a chance as anyone I've spoken to say nothing but good things about him and say he deserves a chance. I'm delighted the club I support can hopefully help out my local team.

Bellamy although he's a tw%t off and on the park sometimes is one of those that you'd love to have playing well for you, SWP not sure about him bit of a twinkletoes and not sure how he's made so good a career as he's very patchy from what I've seen
The kid from Derry for 400k? if that comes even 75% off it'll be worth it big time
