Scunthorpe are in a similar situation to Derby in that the twat of a chairman has put the ground into the ownership of one of his other companies... seems the manager is a complete tool too.

Shame I hope they pull out of it
Is it all to do with the owner their downturn?

He's spent all he's gonna spend; installed his 20 something yr old son as head of recruitment and now owns the ground through one of his other companies and not Scunny Utd (a club that's owned its own stadium since it was formed) - from the outside it looks like shades of Mel Morris going on; my Scunny mates fear the worst.

Re Scunthorpe...Harry Wood's Dad has told me a thing or two too..... theres a reason he's not getting game time.. I hope he manages to get out of there soon...

Best of luck to him, he seems a decent bloke and could make a solid career from being the "go to" guy to get teams promoted out of League 1.

Groundhog Day has ended

1) (in North America) 2 February, when the groundhog is said to come out of its hole at the end of hibernation. If the animal sees its shadow—i.e. if the weather is sunny—it goes back into its hole, which portends six weeks more of winter weather.

2) (Hull City) a situation in which a series of unwelcome or tedious events appear to be recurring in exactly the same way... on a football message board...
