Been a bit of rumblings last night/this morning about something that was picked up before the post-match press conference

Apparently, in Italian, WM asked his interpreter : “Has he gone? Let’s hope so, let’s hope we don’t have to see him again" (referring to Conte), which was picked up by an Italian journalist - then he started the interview.

Lets hope Conte stays but WM doesn't have to see him again...

I think we need a good coach who is a leader and can connect with the fans......

Not much of a family club approach currently... and TD seems to have been milking it...

    Ref Slava

I heard he wanted a three year deal on 2.5 million basic plus bonus if we stayed up. The board said no to it so he left at the end of his tempory contract.
I doubt he would want to come back and even if he did he would want a higher reimbursement now what with the higher TV money and that we are establishing ourselves in the Premeir League.

Surely there must be an argument for the coach to not earn less than the players?

I think at most clubs the coach earns less than the top players

    Walter Mazzarri. AFP

    And in English

Watford will have to find a new manager for the next season in the Premiership, as Walter Mazzarri will leave the club after the last game in the current season on Sunday.
According to a statement from Watford, Mazzarri will leave the team this summer after discussing the board's future plans and goals. The last game under his control will be against Manchester City at home on Sunday.
The 55-year-old Mazzarri has only managed Watford for one year, with the team is in the 16th place in the Premier League before the final round.
The Italian Mazzarri is an experienced coach who has a team like Inter, Napoli and Sampdoria. Lastly, he was in control during the Inter 2013-14 season but was sacked in November 2014. He led Inter in the Europa league against Stjarnan.

Given the Pozzo´s record, it is surprising he stayed so long really.

Pleased he kept us up, chuffed he is off.

Might give us a chance next season.
