Wish they'd just keep it on the same bastard day each season, was the Sunday last year I think. Already had hotels provisionally booked for the Saturday and Sunday night, might as well bin off the Sunday ones now which of course are half the price as the Saturday!
Aye that’s what we did. We are travelling down Friday and coming home Sunday (if fate wills it that is)
Son booked 2 rooms for 4 nights (Friday through to Sunday), with the idea of 2 nights and cancelling the other 2. I was hoping for the game to be played on the Monday as it is our 46th wedding anniversary on the 24th as well as my sons fiances 30th birthday. They will have to be let down gently, unless the lads do us a favour and grab one of the top 2, which I am not discounting by any means
Glad I read this thread as I had booked for a final on the Monday. Now fixed and moved my reservation to the Friday night.
That's what I do, the hotel is much less likely to cancel. I'm arranging visits to friends and family down there, as well as a couple of museum visits, exhibitions, etc. If we lose at least the time and money hasn't been totally wasted.
Can I point out that I’ll be watching the match against Boro in Lanzerote Costa Teguise! gawd knows where like
Imagine if the playoff final is Sunderland vs Burnley and it goes to penalty. Its 4-4 - all penalties have been scored. Ashley Barnes steps up. PATTERSON SAVES. Wilson Isidor steps up to score the winning penalty past Trafford to send us to the prem.
Booked rooms for the Saturday night but might just go down and back on the day as I'm in Germany on the weekend before so May is already costly.
Just cancelled my Sunday night bookings and rebooked for the Friday, we will be driving back after the match. Still have 3 rooms booked for the Saturday night currently but probably cancel those as I can't afford 2 nights in london! Staying at the Harrow Premier Inn, same as last time.
Anyone staying at the Harrow Premier Inn, make sure you get food before heading back on the night as there are ablsolutely no takeaways or restaurants. Found that out the hard way last time and had to raid the vending machine. *Assuming we get there of course, best to be prepared.
I’ve booked the Raddison Blu in Canary Wharf. Free cancellation £376 for 2 nights Friday and Saturday which I didn’t think was too bad for a twin room. Saying that I have no idea how easy it is to get to Wembley from Canary Wharf???
