Spanish media outlet is reporting that Mauricio is on a 3 man shortlist to replace Ancelotti at Real Madrid should they decide to sack him. I guess we'd better start getting used to these rumours......
Who says they're going to sack Ancelotti? They're only three points behind Atletico at the top of the league.
Wouldn't like to comment on the veracity of this specific rumour as I haven't a clue, but to be honest, as much as I hate to say it, I think Pochettino is destined for big things and probably not with us. Since Cortese's gone I get the feeling he may have lost some of the passion for "The Project" and I'd be over the moon if we manage to keep hold of him going in to next season, but even then I'd be surprised if he stayed more than another season. Pure conjecture on my part of course, and I suppose it would partially depend on if/how the club decide to build on the success of this season by further improving the quality of the squad.

If he's got his head screwed on he wouldn't leave us anyway. He's got a good project here, which is far from finished, and his reputation is being enhanced all the time by what he is achieving at Southampton (because he's given all the tools to be able to succeed). If he goes to Real he suddenly has incredible pressure, a bunch of big-time charlies to manage who won't give him the respect he gets from our players, and in all probability, and no time or benefit of the doubt if he doesn't immediately succeed. When he's sacked after a year he'll have to come back to somewhere near our level anyway, so why put yourself through that?
He's young enough to put that off until later in his career and I would be surprised if he went for that kind of job in the immediate future.

Lately rumours turn out to be true.
