Trebs, if it's true, all the club has to do is make an announcement. Somebody has obviously leaked all this. It's not the right way of handling this, whatever you might think of LVG.

Come on NSIS, these stories come out like a viral infection, the club isn't going to bother correcting every piece of nonsense that comes out.

BTW I think it's only right you tell all his backroom staff what their future holds, but is it customary to tell the outgoing manager who you will be appointing after him?? I don't see why that's an issue.

Don't see Giggs going anywhere. I think Maureen will try and mould him into a top manager to be honest. We all know Jose won't be there in 3 years, so I'd expect to see Giggs as Utd manager after the stroppy one

Was just having a similar conversation with Diego on our board. I think part of what kept Mourinho grounded at Chelsea during his first spell was having Steve Clarke as his Assistant. Think he missed him badly second time round. I wonder whether having a club man like Giggs would be good for both?

Giggs will never be nothing more than a mediocre manager. You heard it here, first, lads.

He'll never be more than a Number 2. Some might think that appropriate. He'd be a superb No.2, I think.

No, but the club could announce that LVG has been 'non retained' ( sorry, an Americanism for being sacked that I've always loved hearing from my days in the financial markets)

It would end some of this media circus...

Surely you're the last person to be commenting on who would be good at being number 2 <whistle>

Yep agree there. Do the decent thing and then follow it up with a public statement thanking him for his service.

I don't know, but being number 2 is a bit beyond your remit HIAG, or did you miss the crux of my joke

HIAG's not very good at jokes. As demonstrated by 'all the lads' not rolling around in stitches at his ....

Want a real laugh, Pixie? Look at my sig and read what some muppet wrote about Kane!

Did you find the key to your mum's sherry cabinet?
