Seems a pretty short sighted decision from him tbh. From what I have seen of him he looks like he has a lot of potential and could make a good Premiership player one day, maybe not international level, but if he was so confident in his own ability/potential then he should of waited a couple of years before deciding his international future. Of course he could of always identified himself as Scottish/been close to the family members who were Scottish so there was no decision for him.
Holloway really annoys me, one of the best players for england ever sorry am I missing something? I'd rahter have Lallana but even I can see he is a long way off international class. I know he just says it to get attention but really when you consider some of the great english players its an embarrising statement.
I've seen him play this season, he's half decent and I expect a PL to bid for him in the summer if Backpool don't make it back. What's funny though is the notion that if you can't get into your national team you abandon all hope and find another one instead that you can get in. Ultimately his mentality of not believing he's good enough ever to get in the England team is exactly why he never will. Good luck to him with Scotland but he will never be a Englishman again!
To be fair that's probably due to the fact they have next to no users on this site, 60 odd threads only on Blackpool board
