I can see us putting together a few wins, and then everyone will bang on about us improving and sorting everything out like last season when we got four pointless wins to finish a terrible season. And Nick Foles will probably be hailed as our Franchise QB of the future.

I suppose as long as there is a wiping of the slate in most areas of the coaching staff then there'll be a silver lining.

saintmagic. totally agree. I didn't even know Sidney Rice had been traded until last week! dont know what happened to shiancoe (spelling) either.
I wish we'd got favre a couple of years earlier. I still wince when I watch his last interception vs the saints.

TBF to Ponder the WR core is ****ing useless aswell. Harvin aside and hes not big enough to be a dependable deep threat imo. Also the offensive coordinator has to take some of the blame for some ridiculous play calling at times. Whether that is because he doesn't trust Ponder to throw it more than 5 yards or because he doesn't trust the WR's only he knows.

Pretty sure Ponder will continue as the starter next season, but if they don't get some talent around him in the WR position then he will continue to be awful. Looks like we are going to have a halfway type pick in the draft and looking back through previous years the GM always opts to take a D player first. So looks like it will be WR in round 2, need to pick one up from free agency aswell, a proper deep threat to give Ponder someone to target who isn't Jerome Simpson
 
its a shame for brees as he's a top top QB and the team is turning to **** before his eyes
