We had 30 points after 27 games last season and had to play Man Utd, Man City, Everton and Arsenal in the last dozen games. IF we play like this from now on can see draws at home to Arsenal and Liverpool in the well publicised final four games. Will tempt fate and predict Villa away - draw, Stoke at home - win, Southampton away - defeat, Sunderland at home - win, Swansea away - draw.<ok>

Southampton are on 39 point and don't look anything like the team they were earlier on in the season, granted I'm not saying we'll win just that I wonder if they might be on the beach a little bit by the time we play them and I'm sure we'll be pretty up for it.

I think people have been unfair on Hughton. we have been out of the bottom three since October and although firmly in it so have been half the division.

The thing with football fans is they tend to think their team is having the hardest time of it, no matter what. I just wish we spent more time talking about the players and the actual match than sharing our opinions on Hughton.

Not only that, but the comments about him "pulling it out of the bag when he has to" are totally ridiculous. You'd think we played a team consisting of Hughton in goal, a back four of Hughton, Hughton, Hughton and Hughton, and so on. We get results when he can pick the team he wants for the game and the players put in a performance and cut out the mistakes. <ok>

Well done lads, good to see you picking up form, don't want to see you boys go down and I don't think you will, now about that fixture of yours at our place? don't get your hopes up, as the Mighty Swans are on fire under Garry Monk, nothing personal, but we'll be having 3 points from you!..............<cheers>

We normally do quite well against Swansea, so I expect that to carry on.

But it's good seeing you do well.

ditto with your manager lol.

But anyway, funny how a win can change your mood, if we had lost I would be deeply down now.

Good result - at times we could have pressed them more on the ball - Tottenham were really off their game though! Better performance all round though - impressed with everyone today - noticed Hughton lose his rag when Redmond went for a stupid shot again. Not sure this changes everything but at least another game has passed and we get the points!

It was fun seeing Hughton shouting and swearing.

Hi Jacks bor, looking forward to renewing our tussle at your place. Apart from the dragons, last season's promoted teams are doing quite well. Wigan I notice are not doing too well in the Championship. Hope we both stay clear well away from competing there next season.

I still like Nathan !!!

Canary fans. Here is a question. If you had the opportunity of signing one player from the current teams in the relegation mix, who would you choose ?

Hard one NORKIE but i think id go for Sessègnon from west brom or Holtby as Fulham.

I think that applies pretty much to any team Robbie.

Yeah, Holtby (based on his performances at Spurs) would be nice, and I like Ki at Sunderland. Caulker perhaps?

I'm sure we both will be fine, both teams have quality in the squads!................<ok>

Thats ridiculous Robbie! We played a team consisting of; Hootun in goal, Houghton, Houghtun, Hoots and Hughun and so on.
Like Carrabuh says, any of the teams given fully fit squads (or nearly) that put in a performance and cut out the mistakes is likely to get results. (As long as you also include diabolical finishing as mistakes!)
Credit to all NCFC after yesterday though, I didn't think we would do it inspite of the clearly improving performances. Lets just hope we don't get that sense of deja vue and slump to defeats in the next 2-3 games.

Is Tettey now our most important player? The transformation of the side since his return has been so marked. Just wish we could find some composure in front of goal. Against Villa in particular would be nice!

Bah!

My point is precisely that. As with all teams most of the time, our variable performances are down to the players available for selection and their performances on the pitch. To say that CH "pulls it out of the bag [only] when he really needs to" implies that in between these supposedly "crunch" games, he in some way doesn't try, spends his time on the golf course instead of the training pitch, or otherwise takes his eye off the managerial ball. That only has to be stated explicitly to reveal it for the rubbish it is, which is what I was saying.

The other similarly ridiculous comment is about him "lacking balls" and then suddenly showing he has them when a crunch game comes around. The guy has real courage, not the keyboard warrior type of courage opinionated and critical without responsibility. CH is a good, thoroughly professional manager as well as a thoroughly good guy, and if everybody gets behind him he will prove it at Carrow Road. <ok>
