That would perhaps mean someone hasn't done their maintenance properly but the other options are much worse.

If that ship had a pilot on board then I wouldn't like to be in his shoes, bridge collapsed like a deck of cards, little chance of finding survivors in cold water like that.

Aye. Watched it back. I mean a key pillar was wiped out but the bridge did seem to topple like a deck of cards.

I haven't seen too much about this one yet but there are other stories coming out about the Russian shooting being an inside job.

Being captured by the Russians, after that atrocity, is certain death and worse ...

... the same as if you're a politician making comments about Putin.

If these really were heavily armed gunmen they'd have shot themselves rather than be captured.

Putting couldn't be seen to have let the culprits get away.

These four men are either criminals plucked from a Siberian prison or prisoners of war from the Ukraine.

If the real culprits had been so well organised that they evaded being seen bringing serious arms into that area they'll have had an escape route.

They're currently landing double knee drops from a table onto the thinnest part of his jawline, he's unconscious since the first hit, but they're still landing more of them for fun.

It could be a number of reasons for failure, power failure due to contamiated fuel so loss of power. Looks like the ship is in the wrong position before the lights went out so could be steering failure , Not sure why the lights would go out after steering failure, but it will all come out with recorded data. . If you lose steering or power in a situation and in a strong current is running ,which normaly they would not sail or enter the harbour at this time if there are high winds. Lots of theory but some one somewhere there is human error but not always. Normally if steerage is lost in such as in this situation the anchor can be deployed but perhaps they did not have time. It will be interesting to see what comes out.

If you look at the traffic on the bridge you can clearly see that they stop traffic going over before the ship hits it. Flashing lights on the bridge suggests that they knew what was happening as they are the lights of emergency services stopped on the bridge

Even a system failure there will still be a maritime inquisition and why there is a systems failure.. Whoever the Insurers they will want to know too. There is a good chance the Captt and Chief engineer will be under arrest, or at least that's what they did back in my day almost 20 years ago but things may have moved on by now. Most is usually down to human error somewhere down the line or will be seen that way even if a systems failure why weren't,t contingency plans made that kind of thing.Usually in that case no one is brought to bear only if negligence is the cause.
