I didn't say he got too big of a sentence, I said he was made an example of. I'm purely talking about in terms of the law here, sentencing should be similar levels for offences. If you look at female teachers that had full blown sex with male students of similar age getting 12 month suspended sentences and a fine or a male teacher having sex with 3 girls in his school nicknaming himself the stallion and getting 6 years, you can't say Johnsons wasn't strict when compared with that! From my point of view their sentencing was too lenient for the bloke and outright pathetic when it comes to female teachers grooming students (there seems to be a view that if its a young lad with his teacher its not that bad/even amusing which seems to be the courts take on it too). They all should be sentenced at Johnson levels.
Johnson was an absolute disgrace and deserved locking up. However it wasn't a balaclava and tie wrap offence. It was a school night and the parents had no idea where she was. She wasn't dragged into his car either, she knew what was going on and Johnson wasn't violent in any way ... ... I don't really know any facts about this case but they seem quite different, the charges certainly were.
Problem is, that regardless of what the lass did/said and how much she wanted what happened, Johnson was an adult and she was a child. He should have ****ing known better
I don't disagree with you in any way ... ... just saying there's a difference between a violent rape and a quick fumble round the back of the chip shop.
Yes of course their is and don't think anyone would disagree. A lot of people think Johnson was harshly treated and made an example of, but he got what he deserved. He's not the sicko people call him (he's not a peado) but he crossed the line - he knew what he was doing and how old she was (regardless of how old she looked and acted)
