Ronald Koeman is the new Everton manager. Erwin Koeman & Jan Kluitenberg move with him. Everton will pay Southampton £5m in compensation. Announcement to be made shortly.
I think you're right about SB, my suggestion was a bit tongue-in-cheek. I'd have thought De Boer might have fancied more than Southampton though.
He has left the British part of his coaching team behind which on the face of it doesn't say much about his opinion on them. Having said that I guess Sammy Lee wouldn't have joined the blue side of Liverpool.
At the time koeman had just left. The thread hadn't been posted in in a while, was just a weird post to put in this thread.
Things not looking good for Southampton atm Koeman gone, Wanyama gone, Mane gone, Redmond In Now they appoint a frog as manager.
Same thing was said when Adkins went and then again when The Poch ****ed off and when they sold Lalana, Clyne, Lambert, Lovren, Chambers, Shaw etc etc. That's without mentioning Bale, Walcott or The Ox. They don't have a bad track record when it comes to appointing mangers or bringing through decent players. Only a buffoon would write them off .
Do you remember most people - including elder statesmen on this board - tipping them for relegation after they lost their manager, Lallana, Lovren etc? If the search function worked you could go back and see that I said they'd be fine...
They've lost the scout that helped them find those obscure players though. Think they might be in trouble now.
