Not exactly sure why there's so much animosity for a bloke who was (as far as I could see) just carrying out orders
You're right I bet it broke his heart to do it. I just hope he was compensated the best part of 3 million for his torment....
Aye I think Bain's job was a tough one because he was the public face of Short's penny pinching and people mistakenly blamed him for it.
I don't know if he did a good job or not, only the club's finances under his tenure will attest to that and I don't think we've seen them yet. Either way by all accounts he put a shift in and tried his best so cheers to him.
Totally irrelevant now - any bonuses/compo Bain was paid were from Short's pocket - no longer anything to do with the club. SAFC have made the position completely redundant - no CEO at the club
Besides - he was better in the batman films

Legally they can't appoint a CEO as Bain has been made redundant - you have to make a post redundant not a person and he wasn't "Fired"
Clear out is underway mind as Jimmy Sinclair has gone from the youth setup too
I don't know the ins and outs of employment law (and not that interested) but I'd be surprised if Methven doesn't take over his 'duties'.
For what it's worth, I don't lay any blame at his door, he was like many before him, boxing with both hands tied behind his back.

I wonder if Rodwell is hanging around in a bad reception area for mobile phones - decided to recuperate from his latest injury in a remote area of the Lake District
Couldn't stand the guy myself....yes I understand the arguments from both sides. Another positive step forward for the club in my opinion. Now let's sack Rodwell.....new broom and all that!
What he did was be dogsbody for Short. But as a person he emerged as a right arsehole. So good riddance.
