Nah, this one had an Earth man as captain and the rest were Aliens. The bad guy was weird and spent a lot of time in the Earth guys head as opposed to being a solid entity.

Yes and at birth, apparently. Also found naturally occurring in several plant and animal species and used for religious, shamanic, ritual use in humans for thousands of years. There is a theory that religious and spiritual experience as documented in theological texts, i.e. communing with a higher intelligence / talking to God is actually based in the human psychedelic experience.

We were talking about bandwith earlier. In as much that our human brains are tuned into a certain frequency to receive a narrow amount of information, in order to function without being overwhelmed. I would argue that DMT removes some of those filters and allows a huge amount of information to flow into our consciousness.

It really is quite astonishing stuff.
