That's natural. Our recent few seasons mean that we're likely to fill this gap in news with fears!
Compare us to Man City. The only player they've really been linked with so far is Gaston Ramirez (a player many of our fans hope to get). Until today that is, since Van Persie has announced he isn't signing a new contract (what a surprise). Their fans have had an enjoyable few seasons so the gap in news for them hasn't been filled with fear, and doesn't mean they won't make some quality signings.
I think City could cope a hell of a lot better with no signings than we would be able to though.
I watched Bolton a few times last year but didn't particularly think he stood out. I guess that can happen when teams are in relegation trouble and other than that I haven't seen enough of him to pass judgement. I've said before I think BR will be good for helping players develop but for that he is going to have to be given time especially if he's not being backed in the transfer market.
