That's natural. Our recent few seasons mean that we're likely to fill this gap in news with fears!

Compare us to Man City. The only player they've really been linked with so far is Gaston Ramirez (a player many of our fans hope to get). Until today that is, since Van Persie has announced he isn't signing a new contract (what a surprise). Their fans have had an enjoyable few seasons so the gap in news for them hasn't been filled with fear, and doesn't mean they won't make some quality signings.

I think City could cope a hell of a lot better with no signings than we would be able to though.

Agreed, do City really need to sign anyone? They would have to sell to sign (as they have a full squad already). If City were to lose players like Dzeko etc I'm sure they'd replace almost straight away. Fact is City now have the squad so unlike last year and the year before City are going to linked to less players.
However we are still in desperate need of improvement, as last years poor finish and Downings wont help us one bit.

If we're being linked to this guy, I'm worried.

I am very good friends with danny ward of huddersfield and he was a botlon for a wile and highly rates mark.

he also backed cahill too be a an england starter.

he also thinks gary megson and diouf are ****s!

Fair enough <ok> I watched Bolton a few times last year but didn't particularly think he stood out. I guess that can happen when teams are in relegation trouble and other than that I haven't seen enough of him to pass judgement. I've said before I think BR will be good for helping players develop but for that he is going to have to be given time especially if he's not being backed in the transfer market.

I don't know what you're all on, there are some great gems in teams that get relegated. Like Charlie Adam from Blackpool last season, epicly good player.

This is the guy who the press say we will look to sign now that our main target Sigurdsson has joined Spurs.

I know very little about this guy, and do not know how good he is. But I do know the team he plays for (Bolton) has just been relegated after a terrible season.

So, what are your thoughts on this? is he up to LFC standard?

Looks decent in this video. His tattoo's will fit in well.

sigurson.... our MAIN transfer target? who said that? BR or Ian Aire or FSG?
the fact that he was the only named player (by BR) does not mean he has been the main target. let us just stay calm and see how the window unfolds.

In all seriousness, how the **** did he just lose his ability to do these things? We all know he aint much of a worker and can't tackle etc but why couldn't he do the bread and butter stuff!?

Simple, he never had that ability in the first place. It was the papers making him out to be Blackpool's saviour, Ferguson's comments, etc. Sure he had good matches for Blackpool but that's why he was at Blackpool, that was his level - slightly above Championship

Dalglish liked Adam because he is Scottish.
