I expect they'll judge him by where they are at the end of the season, long way till then. And if he's done well he'll likely be looking to see if there's another bigger opportunity available to him.

I was puzzled by Silvas team selection at the end of last season when he kept leaving out Huddlestone when it was clear we were much better with him in, never really had an explanation for this from anywhere. Was a shame that all his efforts when he came in were really for nothing when it came to the last few games and the organisation he seemed to be instilling vanished with Evandro marking Benteke v Palace at set-pieces etc.
I remember Huddleston being in most peoples votes for MOTM up until that red card, I too was puzzled as to why Silva dropped him after that. I don't think he'd have kept us up, but we were certainly a better side with him in it, especially when played further up the field.I think Hudd was dropped because of his defensive frailties.
Clucas and N'Diaye provided more kilometres and more energy.

I wouldn't have dropped Clucas, he was excellent in the middle. N'Daiye would have made way.Like you said though it was his red card so he wasn't exactly dropped. We were playing well without him and other midfielders had stepped up. Clucas in particular had a storming end to the season.
I liked N'Diaye when he first came in but his last few games he turned into a bit of a passenger and was a bit rubbish. Probably why he's ended up at Wolves this season. Clucas was great in the defensive midfield position though.I wouldn't have dropped Clucas, he was excellent in the middle. N'Daiye would have made way.

Nobody marked anyone at set pieces that was the problemI was puzzled by Silvas team selection at the end of last season when he kept leaving out Huddlestone when it was clear we were much better with him in, never really had an explanation for this from anywhere.
