Savage: Mourinho would be annihilated for Pep's tactics
Robbie Savage believes "supposed" genius and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola should have been criticised more for his tactics in Manchester City's 4-2 loss at Leicester City in a "diabolical performance".

Former Foxes midfielder Savage, 42, thinks the team struggled to work out their manager's tactics. He said: "If a guy came down from Mars and watched that game they would think the Man City manager was clueless!

"There was a point when [Yaya] Toure came on as centre forward where all the players were looking at the bench thinking, 'What on earth? Where is he going to play'."

Savage, a former trainee at Manchester United, suggested that Guardiola's reputation from previous clubs Bayern Munich and Barcelona means people are less likely to question him.

He said: "If that was Jose Mourinho at Leicester he would have got absolutely annihilated. But it's Pep Guardiola - who's supposed to be a genius."

Don't agree with Savage in many circumstances.

But here - I agree with him. How Pep is still in the title & Jose is nowhere is beyond me.

It should be other way.

I can see Palace pushing for top half under Big Sam.

#1 Jose looks shoe in for Title - especially with the way Manu bias is back in the last 3 or 4 weeks. (2 Red cards missed for Rojo in 2 matches, Spammers red card, Offside goal) etc. The list is listless & endless

#2 Conte - Spuds cup final is a blessing in disguise. Hope Conte fixes us and gets us top 4.

#3 Klopp - Top four for Klopp looks possible. But don't overrule a screw up yet.

#4 Arsene - Another 4 spot very likely.

#5 Poch - I slighly underestimated Spuds. Spuds will finish 5th or 6th more likely. My preseason predo of 8th for Spuds looks a mistake
