OT I know but yesterday anybody here watch the WHU game then the last 30 odd minutes of St Albans v Forest Green in the FA Cup?
Both highly entertaining and enjoyed by both crowds.

What I saw in the FA cup game were 2 teams passing it through the middle and out wide quickly which is what we are hoping to see from CitySaw most of the second half of the Spammers. So competitive and such a high level of fitness. Spammers very big and physical. Must be very hard to beat. Liverpool clearly missed Firminio who adds the guile and subtly needed. In saying that Mane should have levelled at the end.
A world of difference to where we are.
In fairness Smith WAS allowed to spend pretty much all the Grealish money and they've gone backwards since.
However, I reckon this is yet another club forgetting where they've come from and how well the manager has done for them since he's been there.

I've always been concerned about Nigel Person, not about his abilities but about his health. In my eyes he's looked like someone on the edge of something for years. I'm probably wrong but I wonder about depression with the man.Looks like the boys across the Bridge are ditching Pearson - Warnock for the job anyone?
Anywhere bar here.Looks like the boys across the Bridge are ditching Pearson - Warnock for the job anyone?

Mike Flynn back as favourite.
Michael Flynn 1/1
Steve Morison 2/1
Neil Warnock 5/1
Michael Beale 14/1
Jody Morris 16/1
Craig Bellamy 18/1
Neil Lennon 20/1
Sam Allardyce 22/1
Alex Neil 25/1
Neil Harris 25/1
Scraping the barrel with that lot apart from Morison and possibly Beale. I wonder if our esteemed board are actually doing anything behind the scenes or are they waiting to see how Morison gets on for the next few games.

Might as well give him until the middle of december.Scraping the barrel with that lot apart from Morison and possibly Beale. I wonder if our esteemed board are actually doing anything behind the scenes or are they waiting to see how Morison gets on for the next few games.

Funnily enough, I was just having a nosey round over there myself (technically I suppose I'm on " home turf" over there given my location so I don't feel guilty) and came across the same thread.I have to confess to following developments on the Bristol City forum. Interestingly though albeit a tiny minority, not everyone is against the idea of Neil Warnock being given a short term contract. The few in favour saying that they would be prepared to sacrifice style for just a bit of success.
This rang a little bit true with me and I guess a few other Bluebird fans and how we defended NW's "style" when he got us promoted and how our perception changed when things started going backwards.
Let me be clear that I'm not advocating a return for NW. It's more me asking if we truly are prepared to go through the many seasons it may take for us to develop a footballing philosophy at our club.
Speaking truthfully for myself, I would like to think that I could hold out and see the club develop. However, having seen the club reach rock bottom and stay there for a while, I fully understand the short termism that abounds at board level. Again, I'm saying I understand it and I'm not advocating it.
I hope that if we make a real effort to change the club for the better, my inner, success demanding demons are out sung by the more patient angels.
Thanks Brizzle. Excellent reply and I would like to think I can maintain the state of mind as stated in your last sentence. More importantly, I hope all Bluebirds can do so too.Funnily enough, I was just having a nosey round over there myself (technically I suppose I'm on " home turf" over there given my location so I don't feel guilty) and came across the same thread.
It is interesting to see what others genuinely think or feel about Warnock. He really does divide opinion but in the main I think we have a lot to feel thankful towards him for and genuinely believe that he comes out "in credit" with us despite the negatives.
Regards demanding demons v patient angels, I think many of us on here have seen the genuinely dark days, in the depths of division 4 looking upon the likes of Exeter, Torquay and Gillingham with envious eyes at their lofty league positions ..
Flirting with relegation from the Championship or even a (hopefully) quick drop into league 1 is a small price to pay for longer term stability and identity in my humble opinion and nowhere near the disaster that it gets painted as.
