Think I'd rather have big Sam than AVB. He's not destined for success in our league
I get the impression though (based on nothing other than my suspicious mind) that McLaren is sitting back waiting for us to miss all of our targets then offer it to him

Joking surely? His spurs record was 55% from 80 games, Better than 'Arry better than Ramos better than Pochettino so far, Better than Sherwood, Better than Jol and better than Hoddle. His win ratio wipes the floor with any spurs boss since the turn of the millennium. His win ratio at spurs is even better than Big Sam in any job.

Was tongue in cheek anyway, he won't come to us, he's too good.

You mean like how he was 3rd choice for the England job?

Should never have taken that on imo. Did him no good at all.

Might be looking at the situation a bit one-eyed, but I think he's remembered as the man who spunked the Bale cash.
Anyway - hypothetical as you say

I'm watching things with regard to Philip Cocu at the minute
Just wondering if he could be an Advocaat recommendation

Seems to be sneaking up on the rails this one don't it. No fear here, he rebuilt PSV with low backing and they absolutely pissed the league playing all attack.

Sounds nice.

If Short is serious about getting us to be a top 12 side (as Advocaat said) then he needs to be looking a it higher than those 2 IMO

I see Peter Reid is in at 20/1.....oh the glory days! One thing is for sure, he wouldn't take any **** from the players!
His time has been and gone, so not for me. I'll happily accept anyone with experience and a proven track record managing, which is why I'm not at all keen on Paul Clement.
