In a normal world, i would agree with you 100%, but as this is the world of football were contract's, loyalty and honour( i acknowledge there one or two left in the game with these qualities) means nothing, then i have to disagree, if Slutsky goes tomorrow, Juniors phone will be red hot with agents putting their man forward by the end of the day.

Allam wants a yes man to keep us up but not rock the boat.

On cancelling my membership, I have e-mailed HullCityTigers to say that I will reconsider taking it back on if the Allams will cancel their membership of Hull City A.F.C..
Somehow, i do not expect a reply back <laugh>

Slutsky only leaves if he walks because Ehab won’t pay any compo to get rid

If he does walk Ehab will only go for a random choice that none of us have ever heard of so if it happens to work it will make him look good and if it doesn’t no one will be able to say for sure it’s his own fault

Expect Slutsky past the end of the season

He’s probably reading this thread anyway and crossing out any managers that fans might actually want

At least you've qualified the no one would come here now.

But I'll think you will find a new manager tends to come in when a team are at the bottom. Top of the league generally don't sack their manager.

Not really.
Teams at the bottom yes, fair comment. Teams/clubs in meltdown errrr...no......Point #2 another fair comment, though Birmingham City buck the trend.

So you're saying all the clubs over the whole course of football have been unable to appoint a manager when they are in meltdown??? <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Not at all, but unlikely to attract anyone with any pedigree and history. Maybe a up-and-comer will be attracted despite the notion of a club in meltdown e.g a Nathan Jones, or the guy Hirst. Nolan or Alexander wouldn't be a bad choice. Someone who would call a spade a shovel.
 
Bit of a daft conversation this.

There’ll obviously always be someone willing to take up managing a Championship club, whatever the circumstances.

It will obviously be more difficult to recruit a quality manager when the club is a bit of a basket case.
 
Some strange conflicting opinions (as always) on here.

On one hand, ‘forum wisdom’ tells us that footballers should not be chided for chasing the money over loyalty – and we shouldn’t expect otherwise as, more or less, they’re a mercenary breed.

At the same time, widsom supposes that we accept that no decent manager will come to our club because of the Allams’ behaviour, despite the money on offer for a manager which I’m sure would be commensurate with at least with a typical tier 2 club.

Of course, we’re not going to attract the likes of Pulis, but providing we’re paying a wage, someone decent would take it.

Just seen Sky trying to wind up fans of different teams on Twitter by asking questions about Pulis, Bilic & Clement.
Of course fans want money spent, pretty football, blah blah blah!
Some people don’t realise how good they have it until it’s too late, Stoke are another one that complain about Hughes.
All the above managers do their job, although Bilic is in a similar boat to Slutsky & Clement still needs to prove himself!

Clement? I expect Swansea to go down this season after their reprieve last year.
 
I'd love Karanka. Plays garbage football, but if someone made us tight at the back, we'd be quite a strong side
 
On a positive note I backed us to get relegated at the start of the season at 18/1. If I cash out now I’m £2.59 up

Think it was one of the only times I agreed with bummers :)
