In January we could’ve signed a whole new 11 based on how badly the team was doing. The only player who has consistently looked decent this year is Lavia and maybe ABK, everyone else has been patchy at best and completely **** in some cases. Bazunu definitely hasn’t been as bad as many others
Sorta relevant. Repost from TSP: Brilliant quote Glenn! “don’t think we underestimated Grimsby, we just underestimated how poor some of our squad players are”! Totally agree & don’t know whether to laugh or cry. And that’s where we are (bar a couple).
I think Bazunu has been the worst of them all. It’s one position that can make a huge difference to any side, and the club has made a grave error IMO. Happy to admit that I was never a keeper though, so judging that purely from stats and gut feeling. I guess we have to back him to the hilt and hope he keeps developing and improving.
Guess we will just have to agree to disagree then. I would place the blame far more at the complete frauds we have up front and midfield who make multiple mistakes a game and never score or create over the keeper who hardly makes any, but yeah doesn’t sound like we will agree on this
In Bazunu's defence, he doesn't get the chance to improve his stats by facing our strikers twice a season.
Brendy, you may have struck on something here: In training, Bazunu DOES face our strikers, so maybe that's why Selles thinks he's a good keeper
This is your perspective, but I really don’t see it. I think he’s already an improvement on Forster and McCarthy.
I don’t altogether disagree however I did see a league table of keepers in the five top leagues in Europe and poor Baz was the worst statistically Having said that Forster is playing regularly so he should provide competition for bottom spot
Statistics are bollocks, based on Nathan Jones alone. He was statistically the best in Europe don't ya know...
No, I don't think it is. Suspect that we'll only know how good (or bad) it is come the press conference. Could still be anything.

Really? Not for me, at all. I can’t think of one save he’s made that I’ve thought “wow”, except for the one at Liverpool when we had already lost the game. I think he looks nervous and the back line is nervous because of it. Fraser or McCarthy are much better imo. Felt a lot safer when they were in goal.
Excellent news. Even if he can't start against United, sounds like he should be fine to start the Brentford match.
