That's the thing with Chelsea, as we don't have a main rival it's always sentimental. I think all if not 99% of Chelsea fans, certainly 100% of pre-RA fans hate Tottenham, same with West Ham.

I don't know a Chelsea fan that hates QPR or Fulham so maybe it's just me, there are no songs about them like there are with Spurs, West Ham, Arsenal etc.

I hate Spurs, West Ham and Arsenal with a passion but I have slightly more time for Arsenal because unlike West Ham and Spurs fans they have something to brag about (or Had!).

Tottenham and West Ham haven't been good since the 80s yet their fans think they are the dogs bollocks <doh>

Good point.

Especially the 2nd bit. I have some good mates who are QPR so I guess it's more a personal thing but I hate them more than I hate Arsenal or West Ham and you have to remember they loath our guts too!

But good point about the songs! It's probably because we've spent so much time in different divisions (same with Fulham). Definitely agree with your last two parts too ;)

Its something that's evolved from 1961, Spurs had a marvellous team and were thrilling to watch. Back then their supporters were like most and dare I say quite affable. One can only speculate how they became a such bunch of self righteous arseholes that are truley loathed throughout Christendom as that is usually reserved for successful teams such as United, Chelsea & Arsenal.

I fekking detest the arrogance of Lefilth and that girlie French ****er who seem to think they have a devine right to win plus the way they go on & on about "beautiful football" & how tackling should be banned so they have more chance of silverware but the team I detest the most is Leeds (due to the good old days)!

in England far better sides lose and always moanu wins..

moanu to walk with the title end of the season..

The best team doesn't always win, the most consistent team does.

When United won the treble they were not the best team in the league IMO, but were most consistent. I thought Arsenal were actually better and United were no better than us but had a better strikeforce.

Liverpool were better than United in 08/09 and Chelsea were better than United in 07/08 as were Arsenal IMO.

United have a level of consistency that is unrivalled and I think they'll win it too, sadly despite City's faultless home record.

Agree, it's definitely a sentimental thing.

I grew up with West Ham and Arsenal fans in a predominantly Chelsea area so I hate those two far more, I quite like Fulham and don't mind QPR although I find their hatred of us strange and quite misplaced to be honest.

I've been to see us play all the London teams (main ones) and I found the hatred for us far more apparent at Upton Park and WHL than any of the others, even Loftus Road and the Cottage.

But surely thats what makes football footbal rather than rugby, I love the rivalry between us, Chelsea and Arsenal. My Family are all from Battersea and are all Chelsea fans so as you can imagine I have taken some stick over the last 20 years. I dont actually mind Chelsea, but cannot stand the arrogance of Arsenal fans.

Someone mentioned that they hate Spurs as they think they are great with nothing to back that up, we thats what all fans think, you should all believe in the team you support.

Anyway its all good fun :)

p.s. happy friday everyone

What went wrong with you then?

Just kidding.

No that's what I love about London Football, people say too many rivalries are a bad thing but I disagree. I love the tribal nature of football.

My family are all Arsenal fans but Hanwell and Greenford based (should be QPR fans really) so I used to get so much stick from them.
