I don't get miffed I welcome other fans here (so long as they conduct themselves appropriately). It just amuses me that so many Spurs fans were on here giving it large 6 weeks ago saying they would win the league and FA cup etc and all of a sudden numbers are massively declining ;)

You kind of missed the point, DL. My point is that your fans give off the impression that you're big rivals with United, Arsenal and us but we're all far more concerned with our local rivalries.

There you go again, with the false sense of importance. I'm not camped on your board, I post far more on the Spurs board and probably more on the Arsenal board too :)

hmmm slightly false statement there. All I heard when we won the league was hateful envious comments from fans of other clubs <ok>

I'm a Luis fan too. His defending has improved immensely IMO. Thought Mikel had his best game for ages against Brum but we have to realise it was Brum. I honestly couldn't see anything positive from Kalou other than the miss-kick which led to our first goal. But like you say, we all look at it differently.

it looked to me that every time kalou got the ball he ran about 3 yards then gave it away !! luiz is definitely improving in every aspect, i mean he has even mastered giving the opposing centre forward a good boot in the head and getting away with it trick. I just love the little "what me" look he has on his face afterwards.

I also remember winning the double and scouse fans coming up to me in the pub and thanking us for saving their record.
As I was quick to remind them, we didn't do it for them, we did it for ourselves.

Yep, I'm sure United didn't give two ****s about us taking their title a couple of times either(!)

Totally different. Rivalry when you're challenging for the same trophy is natural but the surprise that they don't still treat you as rivals when you're 20 points behind explains the difference in how you see the rivaly.

How do you know they don't treat it as rivalry? You go on their board and ask how many of them hate us and hate losing to us more than most of the teams in the prem <ok>

Liverpool, City and Leeds will always be their stronger rivals but to say they don't treat us as rivals is false.

Alright then, I'll take your point on that.

You guys don't seem to have any longterm, big rivalries though. There's never been much rivalry with Fulham and you took losing your first league game against QPR surprisingly well.

Yep but it's still a long standing rivalry.

I half agree, you're right about Fulham although some Chelsea fans will strongly dislike them. QPR or you lot are probably our strongest rivals, always big police turn out for those games. Not as strong as you and Arsenal but there are 4 teams in West London.

Did you see the match thread after the 1-0 to QPR? <yikes>

Nah, it has always been Tottenham and West Ham in truth, then probably Arsenal and Leeds not to far behind.

Everyone differs. Arsenal have never bothered me as much as others. All depends on where in London you're from!

Agree there YV, we've never had a rival as such. That's why it amazes me we are ahead of Spurs in the lost hated London club.

We get it from all corners, the South London clubs like Milwall and Palace where a lot of our fans are based, then of course Fulham and QPR seem to dislike us for some reason (West), Arsenal and Spurs hate us and so of course do the Spammers

That's the thing with Chelsea, as we don't have a main rival it's always sentimental. I think all if not 99% of Chelsea fans, certainly 100% of pre-RA fans hate Tottenham, same with West Ham.

I don't know a Chelsea fan that hates QPR or Fulham so maybe it's just me, there are no songs about them like there are with Spurs, West Ham, Arsenal etc.

I hate Spurs, West Ham and Arsenal with a passion but I have slightly more time for Arsenal because unlike West Ham and Spurs fans they have something to brag about (or Had!).

Tottenham and West Ham haven't been good since the 80s yet their fans think they are the dogs bollocks <doh>
