Apparently he did dig his heels in and state that he wasn't a fan of Grigg at the money mooted. But Maja went because of Maja. Not Ross. Maja wanted to go and earn bigger money in a piss pot league. OK it's better than the league we're in but probably not by much other than 1 or 2 teams.

Had he signed a new deal with a "you can go for £1m in the summer if..." clause the chances are we'd have got promoted and he'd have been playing in a better league the next season.

That's not my memory of it. I remember being very vocal on here about him being a bad signing and there were also a lot of other people questioning it. He can't even score goals in the Championship and his profile is only so big because of that daft song about him.

The "everyone wanted him crack" confuses me because I don't remember it happening. £4m for a League One player who had one good season was absolutely mental.

Piss pot league... French league one is better than the Championship in standard generally.

I've spent a few months over the years in france Attended a number of games - and it really isn't!! Unless, over the past 5 years, it has significantly increased in quality.

So the french first division is pi55 pot league???
He has tripled his wages, is playing for a better team with better players against better teams and better players?

Just shows that 'half a good season in League One' is enough to get a right good go at the big time.
