I recently met a lovely old lady, Vera, who'd been to the 1955 FA Cup Final.

It was at a family funeral, in Chopwell, and most of the mourners were Mags.

All lovely decent people, unlike the current crop who are generally obnoxious.

Aye their fans are well used to having their hopes and dreams ground into dust every year but I wonder how aligned the owners are with accepting failure as par for the course.

Doesn't seem like they'll be able to spend their way to the top. I doubt they really wanted Newcastle in the first place they were just available at the time.

And she was a Mag who had actually seen NUFC win something. The Keegan bandwagoners, 92ers, and members of the Nayshun have not. That tells you something doesn't it? :emoticon-0105-wink:

Yep. I find the older generation are sensible and level headed. Mostly!

I was gigging in a pub yesterday, mostly black and white, 5 or 6 who were not, me, my mate who’s a Boro fan, a couple of Sunderland fans and 1 Man Utd fan. It was funny as **** seeing them all go from “yewrop” to sitting and being silent, and the atmosphere going silent from them!!

We got our clerb back? Famous black & white strips....nah they couldn't be further away from having their club back the terrorist lovers....that club does not exist from anything they ever stood for.....the decent things they stood for were a long long time ago mind
