Nah, I'm with him on not caring, quite happy to comment in a Titus mocking or NE XI thread over here but i can't be arsed with WUMming their board. It might not be the ideal option to combat it but I frankly don't give a toss. I came here from 606 cos it shut...
They haven't my question on the main topic of their board though, with my lack of mag signature, avatar etc (tried to change my name back to Colly but it won't let me...) how the chuff do they know its a mag comment without making all the effort if checking my profile. Sounds time consuming for mods, surely its quicker just to delete the **** posts?
in my view it's not really about their board it's the whole forum,what if every board takes their stance then it becomes what's the point in the forum might as well break it up and make individual team ones.
this was like a breath of fresh air when we all came over from 606 and now we have one board trying to make it exclusive to it's members can anyone honestly say we'd have done the same with the florists on 606 no is the answer.
sick of bumping on about it but it's a slippery slope they are taking this forum onto after all it's a OPEN forum so we should all care when certain individuals try and make it exclusive.
Agree totally! There is a principal involved here that is far more important than whether it will effect me as an individual. I rarely post over there but i'm buggered if i'm going to let anybody forbid me from doing so. Where will it end if they get away with this?
It'll go nowhere. If the same was proposed here we'd vote against it anyway. If you look at the mackem board there's not not a single 'mag free' topic on the front page, which tells you how successful the idea is.

I'm severely disappointed in the Sunderland mods, Super Mod and Maltese for allowing this travesty of a rule to be implemented though. Goes completely against the rules and spirit of an open forum. The fact that the idea will probably die an early death doesn't change the fact that they agreed to do something that was a breach of the laws of free speech and also an act of discrimination.
Shameless with the first Mag Free article. I'm going to post on it to test the process.
Pathetic and I really think it shouldn't be allowed as it goes against the nature of an open forum. I have sympathy with the mods but its a joke and as someone mentioned, if everyone took the same stance, the whole of not 606 would die a quick death! Funny how it comes about when the mackems are getting the piss taken out of them because they're in turmoil. Can you imagine if we'd proposed the same when we were struggling? Toys out of pram spring to mind.
Never been across to the dark side of this forum myself like, but does this not call for a thread on the mackem board for all NON-Sunderland supporters ONLY to give their views on Sunderland? A Mackem free thread on their own board! Fairs fair................

We don't even agree very often but it would be boring if we all did. As I say the timing is hilarious, can they not see how it looks?
