Huge game for the manager, needs to get a big win vs the mackems or expect a P45 shortly as we aren't getting anything in the league this month...

I think slowly the fans are coming around to the idea Howe needs replacing and in the next month the numbers will increase.

If we lose this game I think he's going to start being under real pressure a bit sooner than anyone expected.

FFS Roly's got a gang now,it's only been 2 years since the takeover give them some time

13 games - 3 wins, 1 draw, 9 losses, out of 2 cups, losing to Luton, Forest, Bournemouth and Everton (all milling around the bottom half) in that run.

Eddie has done well last season but needs results asap now. Could be 13th by the end of the month and out of all the Cups - no way he survives that imho.

Don't think anyone wants to see him go but he's already in trouble.

If the opportunity comes to land a better manager then I'd just sack him straight away. I doubt it's there yet though as there's no money available to buy players.

He'll survive this and the next time we are doing **** and there's funds available they'll get rid of him.

Interesting because the run of games after January (City and Villa) is... Luton, Forest, Bournemouth from the list above!

City 0 points, Villa 0 points, then Luton, Forest, Bournemouth - he's needing points asap and based off the last months performances we aren't getting another 10 points on the board before mid to late March at the earliest.

Agreed I think with the lack of funds available means he'll see out the month but then is in trouble heading towards summer. Might let him see out the season and approach a big name manager in the summer.

He'll need to win at least 2 of them.

For losing games just like every other managers including the ones Newcastle fans don't like.

Liverpool last season in Jan:

Brentford 3 - Liverpool 1
Brighton 3 - Liverpool 0
Liverpool 0 - Chelsea 0
Wolves 3 - Liverpool 0

All these games were in a row in the league.

Some pressure under Klopp after this but not a lot.

More pressure on Howe right now, as he doesn't have the record of Klopp, but still last 2 years have given Howe some breathing space. A loss to Mackems and everything changes though.

Klop has won things and that's only 4 games mate.. Howes claim to greatness is getting a club promoted and getting relegated which is a world away from champions leagues and titles.

It seems people are becoming aware that he's created a big mess and when at Bournemouth once it went wrong he was unable to fix things.

I don't think he'll go this season though.

3 more wins should keep us up,I don't see what all the fuss is about.

I said a while back that come February it's going to be about 40 points and then just seeing what the situation is.

This current situation with performances and results is far worse than people realise. The form is absolutely frightening and confidence is in tatters.

Again it's ridiculous to say Howe got a club promoted and relegated - he took Bournemouth from league 2 to the premier league in 5 years and kept them in the Prem for 6 years, it was an incredible achievement for a team like Bournemouth, and the first time they'd ever been in the top league.

Howe obviously has nowhere near the reputation of Klopp, but my point was after that 1 point from 4 games, the odds were being slashed to very small for him to go. Remember the previous season he'd won both the FA and League cups and got to the final of the Champions League. Last season they didn't win jack **** and didn't even get into the Champions League, was an awful season by Klopps standards.

How can it be ridiculous when he did get promoted and relegated?

Because in your words "Howe's claim to greatness is getting a club promoted and getting relegated".

It isn't, Howe's claim to greatness is getting a tiny club like Bournemouth to have 3 promotions in 5 years to get them from league 2 to the top league for the first time in there history, and then establish them there for the next 6 years as a Premier League team. His claim to greatness is being the best Bournemouth manager of all time.

That's exactly what he's done that's a fact not just something I've said.

It's an utterly stupid way of looking at things though.

It's a bit like saying "Klopp won a few things a few years ago but last season was awful" as a summary of Klopp's entire career. That's also a fact and a stupid way to look at things.

How is saying a fact stupid? It was ridiculous 1st now it's stupid lol.

Ifs, buts, whataboutery maybes are irrelevant when disputing a factual statement.

BTW in bold ? That's actually an opinion not a fact.

Was gonna say, well he's won a ton of trophies, but you covered that.

I think if we would have won the League Cup there would be very little pressure on Howe, even with these results.

Tbh, the stark honest truth is I think most fans consider Europe a nice thing to be in, but really don't care as much. Its a trophy people ****ing crave.
