Brownie had more chance of keeping us up than Dowie(who's a complete arse), but based on both their records(what ever way they are twisted), it's likely that both were more than capable of taking us down.

Personally, I think the only person that would have been capable of keeping us up, was Nigel Pearson. :emoticon-0105-wink: :emoticon-0116-evilg :emoticon-0103-cool:
Stop winding him up. It's alright for you, it's the rest of us who will have to put up with him later!<yikes>
I've known of people like you, Guido:bandit:, just light the fuse and walk away!!:emoticon-0116-evilg:emoticon-0103-cool:

Brown had a far better chance and seeing as though we only lost to arsenal (even that was lucky), man u, tottenham and (i think under brown) villa I would've thought he'd have got points form sunderland and burnley and maybe wigan and portsmouth too. Just my opinion.

birmingham was the 4th. six pl games against sunderland and burnley produced 0 points.

The proper pub argument between City fans this one.

For my two penneth, we were down under both. Had Brown kept us up then we'd have still been in financial stum. Very few signings and an ever increasing naughtie step it would have been a rough 2011/12 season. If you look at the strength of the prem this year in my opinion we'd have easily been relegated.

One thing is for certain, Dowie was not the answer to any question Adam Pearson should've been asking, other than 'which football pundit most reminds me of The Goonies?' <laugh>.

I like Nigel Pearson, some drab football at times but it's a youthful squad he's building which should ensure us Championship football for seasons to come and a good shot at promotion in the next few years. Could other managers do this, probably but the one we've got is now getting results with the odd glimpse of classy football and from what I can see he's brought with him one of the best scouts in the business.

Brownie had lost it, he didn't invest the money well, he didn't make us any money (Turner and never really selling anybody) and I don't think any wise businessman (the Allams) would've invested hard earned cash in him. The Allams see prudence in the Pearsons and thats how we got the investment, they were also wise enough to kick out the Duffman so all in all it still is the best trip i've ever been on! <cheers>

dowie was probably at the end of a long queue that had all said no.

should we speculate on what twf stands for (apart from wild opinions)? someone start a new thread on it.
