Do we think we will ever see him in a rangers shirt, still injured and fast approaching we have the Africa Cup of Nations where he will disappear for six weeks which will take us thru till the end of Feb assuming he doesnt get injured and then in March another round of World Cup fixtures.Seems a pretty decent contract where all we do is act as a vehicle for him to get fit for the Cameroons.Or am I being a little cynical.

Cameroon lost the first leg of the final qualification match 2-0 to Cape Verde. They are far from assured of a place in the tournament.

They got Barton we got Mbia, whether he plays or not we got the best of the deal.

Not sure we did 54. Allegedly paid £5m for a CB who hates that position and is regularly injured - AND we're paying at least half of Barton's wages with no offload in prospect. Free transfer at best if and when the time comes.

So it appears not so cynical then.Just cant see where he,ll fit in either cos by the time he is fit,so will Ferdinand , Fabio and Traore.

Diakite and mbia getting on my nerves get out there and play football ffs sick of signings that just dnt arrive and play always some bolloks we need them at the moment add a bit of steel and strenght ...just annoying ...rant over

It's been known from the start that hughes plans to play him at CB. Mbia would have been aware of that prior to signing.
