Bacuna did well in part because he's fast, but he was also playing him pretty wide to take away the byline; Zabaleta was playing him more or less straight-up, and Shaw burned him repeatedly down the outside. Once Shaw reaches the point where he has enough confidence in his right foot to cut in and produce a telling ball into the area, and thus eliminates the option of overplaying his left, he'll be an absolute nightmare to defend.
