We deffo need another left back and Garbutt can play left mid an all so getting a bit cover with him. Only 27 so plenty legs in the tank and well experienced at this level. We seem to be having a somewhat coherent transfer policy this summer, which is strange and refreshing at the same time.

Mad that Everton have held on to him till he’s 27 without using him, there must be a player there.

I've just had a look at his Wikipedia page. What a weird career he has had up until now. I can only assume he showed massive potential at 22, got a big contract but never quite got to premier league level.

That's pretty unique i would think

This is a good watch to understand what sort of player he is. This is in the Europa against Wolfsburg. He looks very comfortable on the ball, he’s good at getting it down and playing short crisp passes. His weakness looks like his long ball passing. His pace and positioning seem fine, he takes a cracking corner. We’ll definitely be a threat from set pieces with him in the team.

He will excel in a team that get it down and play football. He won’t suit hoof ball, at all.

Aye, seems bizarre don’t it, 27 is 2/3 of your career they must have renewed him at least twice.

On what you can only assume are proper agreeable terms. Weird one. But it has to suggest there is something there.
