No but Chelsea and Arsenal's interest in Tiote isn't as exuberant as Barcelona's interest in Young. Chelsea actually nearly had Tiote sealed in the January but Tiote rejected the offer because he didn't want to go to London. Why would you say I read it in the metro? Atleast we've played in Europe. No, I just hear people claim, he's so good he was linked with a move away to X, Y and Z. Then when you enquire (or Enrique) about their sources, you hear that they saw it on caughtoffside or the Metro, something like that. Obviously unless you can use some solid sources for the interest then do not talk about it.

Tiote going to Chelsea was definitely not all over the news, it was a rumour in the News of the World but neither the BBC or Sky Sports have mentioned ANY transfer rumour about Tiote since he signed (and Sky aren't that particular about what rumours they report these days). The guy has been suspended for 5 of Pardew's 16 games in charge, which suggests his tackling probably isn't as perfect as some of you are claiming. I wouldn't swap Lucas for Tiote, Lucas is establishing himself in the Brazilian team and is showing very steady progress. Tiote is a good player too, but since i gather you lot don't have too many of them i can understand your love affair with him. Fortunately our club is on the up so we don't have to give our guys new 6 1/2 year contracts 6 months after they've signed in the first place, and it's that kind of judgement at your club which probably makes a reasoned debate impossible to begin with.

Unlike you, I'm not gonna scoff at that. I think you are one of the biggest, and best supported clubs in England, without doubt. And the same goes for Liverpool. I do believe that Lucas is nowhere near the finished article,but in the last two seasons he's come on leaps and bounds.And having cemented his place in the Brazil squad will help him further.He's been called the ''New Dunga'' by the Brazil coach.
Nobody ever said he wasn't good. He's alright , it's just an insult to compare him to Tiote let alone say he's better.
