A friendship from 23 year ago, where comments of "best pal" and "yum yum" have come back to bite him on the arse. I'm sure my views have mellowed over time, but I'm not in the media spotlight. Should he have known better, or acted quicker as soon as Epstein was first charged?

I'm a bit puzzled that......if what we've been led to believe about Epstein is correct.....and if what we've been led to believe about Mandleson is correct.....whatever drew the two of them together in such a seemingly intimate friendship?

Did Mandelson say in an interview, aired last night, that he was gay?

He should never have been employed. It was known at the time of his appointment that he was mixing with Epstein before, during and after his conviction. It’s indefensible. Yet Starmer was still standing by him yesterday.

Starmer had no choice... He had to pull the plug on Mandelson.

Pretty bad judgement to appoint him in the first place really. Mandelson had highly known form.

A bit odd that Karen Pierce was ditched to make way for him. She had made a very good impression there and elsewhere.

Maybe , as a daughter of one of those " horny handed sons of toil" that appeared to so unsettle Mandelson, she was not quite the right stuff for Starmer.

Agree. Shows how weak is Starmer.
