This got me thinking. If Pardew managed Cristiano Ronaldo would he be questioning his work rate like this?

No because Ronaldo turns up every week, scores two or three and wins games on his own. So you can kinda let him off with it. Anyway Ronaldo seems to have found his workrate now with maturity. Watch plenty of Spanish football and its noticeable how much closing down he now does. Messi envy probably forcing him to another level.

Unfortunately HBA turns up one or two in 5 and when he is bad, he is really bad.

This, 100%

When Ronaldo has a 'bad' game by his standards he has always had some kind of positive impact on the team – very rarely is he totally anonymous.

Ben Arfa could be that kind of player and THAT good which so frustrating, it's just up to him and his attitude to his work.

Sadly I think he's comfortable to let the weaker areas of his game slide and be cast as a mercurial 'genius' rather than a top, top player that can affect the game when it's not his day...

Remy has started lie a train - but so dd Cisse and Ba (last season).
Ba was sold, Cisse has hit a wall - big style - and Remy is due in court on a rape charge!!!
Who else can we sign?

thats harsh, at Madrid he does not need to compete with the ameobi brothers to get a starting place.

Again Remy has been a class act for us.
Does anyone know for sure what clauses etc were in his contract in terms of a permanent signing after the loan?
I really hope we make his move permanent but I fear his form will attract more interest from teams willing to pay bigger wages.

He reminds me of a young Thierry Henry...

...hang on, he wears 14 as well! <yikes>

And he's French! <yikes>
