I have an idea why don't the club loan players to our rivals this season. You know like Sunderland and boro.. Maybe we could help strengthen a few more just to make it harder to get back up.
I’d be disappointed if we didn’t given Joffy and Perkins a go in the championship and it certainly doesn’t say much for our much vaunted academy.

Sorry ...... I've been worried for a long time that our finances won't be as good as what many people think they are due to owing the transfer fees. As far as I'm aware we've used forward funding for it somehow which gives me Ridsdale bad vibes sadly. We'll find out in the end no doubt.

I don't blame you one little bit. You invest your time and money into the club more than most, and tbh, you've got the patience of a Saint!!!

How do we know since we’ve rarely tried them?

Joffy has had a fair few chances. I watched alot of him at Sunderland last season and he just survived. He didn't really look dangerous, didn't take people on, didn't excel with his passing. He just played it safe. Not good enough and before people start saying he was playing out of position I'd just like to remind them that he played as a striker. That's what he is. A squad player for us at best. We won't get promoted with him starting as either a 9 or a 10.

As for Perkins, I've seen him live just the once and he looked a big strong lad. That's what made him stand out in that u21 game. He didn't dazzle me with his quality at all, I thought he was sloppy in possession. His major asset was that he was big and strong and the young defenders couldn't shove him off the ball. That won't happen in the Championship, these defenders will eat him alive.

Mateo Joseph might be worth a look as I think he has good movement, a decent touch but more importantly never stops running and looks fairly quick, especially over 5 yards which could be useful for us.
