If our players did not have a relegation clause, we would have a team of unsaleable players on prem wages. We might have to understand we got relegated. Life’s hard, get on with it, as my gran used to say.
That is what we hear but no one ever gets to see even a single copy of these contracts. I would love to see one and see how they are contracted.
Exactly and this is why the saving figures being quoted are well out, a club loaning a player on full wages will be their relegation wage which is reported as being between 40-60% lower than what they were paid in the PL It makes good business, it means those we wish to keep we go back to the table with an improved contract offer, those we don’t, they’re not stuck here on extortionate wages.
Ahh another riddle to solve. Tell you what i won't bother this time as the last riddle sent me to the edge.
Ermmm why would they move then?. My guess is they are being offered better wages than our championship rates.
They might be offered more but our saving would be the same no matter what was offered, agree with leedslondon they’re egos
There is no saving when we’re giving away players with a book value of ten or twenty million for nothing
Still waiting for your list of players being “hoovered up” by our competitors from a week ago & it definitely wasn’t a riddle but you haven’t solved that either. Not sure how straightforward it has to be tbh
I have an idea why don't the club loan players to our rivals this season. You know like Sunderland and boro.. Maybe we could help strengthen a few more just to make it harder to get back up.
