Some great news - looks like Sam Surridge is on his way from Bournemouth. He's scored 8 in 15 games for Oldham this season, and I believe Rovers have pipped some strong competition to get him.
Having never heard of him before, I emailed a mate who is very heavily involved with Bournemouth, scouting, ground safety issues etc. He tells me that Sam Surridge is very good, just come back from being on loan at Oldham who didn't want to lose him. Played something like 15 games with 8 goals for them. Last season he was at Yeovil with 8 goals from 41 appearances. He is very highly thought of at Bournemouth and the general opinion is that he would be an excellent asset for us, if we can end up getting him. He certainly knows where the net is, and has the ability to be in the right place at the right time, which is a big step up from the current shower we have ended up with. I can vaguely remember when we had strikers who were like that!
