I believe we've scored the most goals in the PL this calendar year - considering we've missed Sturridge for large parts and haven't used Benteke, it goes to show you that we can improve our goal scoring without having to bring in a big name striker.

Changes to the system and playing players who suit that system are far important - as we've seen at the other end of the pitch as well. We're still struggling at set pieces but we're not being cut open as much.

I think we've seen a lot of progress this season under Klopp - can't wait for the summer now.

we now feel more like a team than 11 footballers who just happen to wear the same strip and being a team and knowing what everyones duties in the team is more important than individual players abilities -obviously if more gifted players buy into the team ethic you pick them.
i posted on the Spurs board some weeks ago that it was noticeable the top 2 in the league were also the 2 best "teams" in the playing sense and that still holds true.

On Benteke i have some sympathy for him as while he was never suited to us i still think no effort was made to make use of the abilities he does have which was ridiculous.the mismatch was pretty obvious so I never understood the signing despite thinking in another team Benteke is a 20 goals a season player if he stays fit

Fair assessment.

I just don't believe a tenth of what's spouted.

Rogers didn't exactly do much with him so are we to believe Rogers wanted bony badontelly and benteke.. yet gad no way to use them.

I just think it's high time this odd ****ty 5 years were put to bed and proper honest professional football organisation came back to lfc.

Pursley started it with Joe Cole. Commolli was as bad with carroll and Downing and Adam with Dalglish... gross over spending.

Rodgers and this abortion of a system was worse.

Let's see honest experience and brains see talent with their eyes and end the computer screen mockery we've endured.

Klopp only needed 10 mins to see grunjic had talent. Grand get it done.

our transfer policy has been dreadful for years but due to the churn of players we occasionally find a glint of gold in the trash.
an organised policy to match players to our requirements would make a nice change rather than a scattergun approach of "oh he's good buy him" though doesn't match what we needed

As he proved again and again in a pretty dire Villa team. I really feel for the bloke. And the worst bit? Sherwood was proved right and Bodgers and the 'Committee' proved wrong. Come to think of it, that's actually not a bad thing.

Wonder if Stewart will get some more game time in remainder of the season with Hendo out.

Lucas is coming back now so we have Allen/Lucas/Can for the middle but be nice to see another couple youngsters come through.

Ojo should get more game time, deserves it ahead of Ibe at the moment.

Lucas came on against Stoke so likely to be involved at Bournemouth at weekend. Can & Allen will be starting on Thursday i'd imagine though

Hendo out and Can still suspended for the Bournemouth game, Stewart should get a game, would like to see Branagan in the side too, along with Ojo getting another run out, if injury not too serious!
